Credit / Debit Card Policy

We are able to accept pre-booked payments over the internet via Google Checkout, with a low rate for processing of 5% (10% for AMEX).

PRE-BOOKED TRANSFERS

If a pre-booked transfer has been arranged and paid for through a credit / debit card transaction, Abacus Airport Cars Cambridge (known as AACC) operates the following policy:

  • If a client wishes to cancel the transfer and gives AACC more than 24hours notice, a full refund will be given (not including the processing fee).

  • If a client wishes to cancel a transfer within 24 - 12 hours of the booking time, AACC will refund 80% of the original transaction (not including the processing fee).

  • If a client wishes to cancel a transfer within 12 - 8 hours of the booking time, AACC will refund 50% of the original transaction (not including the processing fee).

  • If a client wishes to cancel a transfer within less than 8 hours of the original booking time, AACC will NOT refund any of the original transaction.

  • When AACC are contracted to collect clients for any airport collections, AACC will wait at the terminal meeting point for 45 minutes (25mins free). If, after this 45 minute period, the passenger/s have not come through we will do all we can to check Customs and Immigration services to find them. If, after a further 30 minutes of waiting, we have not made any contact then we will pull the driver away from the transfer. AACC will NOT refund any monies paid, once the office has told the driver to leave, as long as all avenues of contact have been tried.

  • If a client wishes to cancel a pre-paid return transfer booking within 48 hours of the booking time, AACC will refund 50% of the original transaction (not including the processing fee ).

  • If a client wishes to cancel a pre-paid return transfer booking within 24 hours of the booking time, AACC will NOT refund any of the original transaction.

  • If the airline cancels a flight for any reason, then the client must inform AACC 3 hours before the booking time. If, after AACC has checked the airport website, the flight has not been shown as cancelled before dispatching a driver, AACC will NOT refund any monies paid if flight is then cancelled.

  • If the flight is diverted to another airport, AACC will make every effort to find out which one and divert the driver to said airport. If this is known before dispatching a driver, then the client will only have to pay the difference (if any) between the cost of our stated airport prices. No money will be refunded if the client is diverted to an airport closer than the original booking point. If the flight is diverted whilst in flight, the client will have to pay the difference (if any) between the cost of our stated airport prices, plus any additional mileage @ £1.35 per mile. This will have to be paid either in cash to the driver or via our in car payment facilities (this incurs a 10% processing fee).

For ALL airport collections, our policy is to arrive at the terminal 30mins after the flight has landed. This allows time for our clients to clear baggage and customs. If you believe 30mins is longer than you require, then please inform us of this when booking.

Please note: After the driver has been in the terminal for 25 minutes, clients will incur waiting charges. This is at a rate of £15GBP per hour (25 pence per minute). Payable in cash to the driver upon completion of transfer.
